Week of March 23

​

1. Download March 23 Activities and save them to your device or, preferably, to the Cloud.  Remember their location!

2. Open Argument Guided Notes from last week. 

3. Watch Argument Screencast 2.  I recorded this screencast based on your responses to last week's activities, and it is my opportunity clarify some points.  While you watch the screencast, please answer the Argument Screencast 2 Questions (contained in the March 23 Activities).  You should also make changes or additions to your Argument Guided Notes, as you see fit.  Remember, these notes are for your reference.  

4. Watch the Ethos, Pathos, and Logos in Advertising video (linked to the right) and answer the corresponding questions contained in the March 23 Activities. 

5. Review the Dodgeball Padlet Activity (step-by-step directions are contained in the March 23 Activities).  [CHANGE IN PLANS: These questions will remain in the March 23 Activities, but you can skip them!]

6. Answer Zoos Pre-Reading Prompt (contained in the March 23 Activities). 

7. Read Zoos Selections and answer Zoos Post-Reading Questions (contained in the March 23 Activities). 

8. Complete Your Turn (short writing assignment contained in the March 23 Activities).

9. Submit completed March 23 Activities via turnitin.com.

 

In short, this week you need to complete and turn in the March 23 Activities no later than Friday, March 27 at 11:59 pm. 

 

NOTE: You will have a quiz next week.  If we are in class, it will be administered in person; if we are still learning digitally, I will develop another way to assess you.  Your quiz will cover the content covered in the screencasts and both sets of reading selections (Dodgeball and Zoos).

I will actively be reading emails during my office hours on Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., so if you have questions, feel free to email me during those times for an immediate response; otherwise, I will get back to you as soon as possible.  I also realize that it can be challenging to "type" a question; therefore, if you would prefer to call me, you may do so at the number I shared in the March 15 email.
